Weather conditions are favourable. There are occasional delays in roadwork areas and on city roads. Drivers are advised to adjust their speed and way of driving to road conditions and to maintain a safety distance between vehicles.

MOTORWAYS
A1 Zagreb-Ploče-Karamatići
ROADWORK ANNOUNCEMENT:
-on 3/4 September from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. traffic will be suspended between the Šibenik and Danilo junctions in both directions, including the Podi junction; detour: Šibenik junction (A1) - D33 - D8 - D58 - D531 - Danilo junction (A1)
EXTRAORDINARY TRANSPORT:
-until 5 September between 10pm and 5am extraordinary transport will be proceeding from the Karamatići toll station (A1) towards the Bisko junction (A1)
-from 5 to 14 September between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. traffic will be suspended several times for up to 15 minutes near the Lučko and Split junctions
A2 Zagreb-Macelj
-traffic is proceeding over one lane only between the 17th and 13th km in direction Macelj (Krapina-Đurmanec) and between the 6th and 8th km in direction Zagreb (Trakošćan-Đurmanec)
-until 8 October due to roadworks, traffic will be proceeding over one lane between the 25th and 27th km in direction Zagreb
-due to roadworks in the Frukov Krč tunnel from 9 September to 23 October, traffic will be proceeding in both directions over the eastbound road between the 2nd and 5th km
A3 Bregana-Lipovac
-until 31 December at the Zagreb zapad junction from direction Lipovac (A3) towards Zagreb, from direction Bregana (A3) and Macelj (A2) towards Zagreb (Sava bridge-Jankomir) traffic is flowing in one lane only;
-until 18 September due to roadwork between the Popovača and Kutina junctions in direction Lipovac (90th - 93rdkm), traffic is proceeding over two narrowed lanes; possible queues and delays with increased traffic density, especially on Fridays
-until 3 October due to roadwork between the Sveta Nedelja and Zagreb zapad junctions in direction Lipovac, traffic will be proceeding over two reduced lanes in both directions on the road in direction Bregana; due to increased density, queues and delays are possible, especially in the morning and the afternoon and on the weekends
EXTRAORDINARY TRANSPORT:
-from 5 to 14 September between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. traffic will be suspended several times for up to 15 minutes between the Sveta Nedelja and Zagreb zapad junctions
A4 Goričan-Zagreb
-until 4 Sep due to roadwork between the Zagreb istok and Popovec junctions, between the 95th and 91st km, towards Goričan traffic will proceed in both directions over two narrowed lanes in direction Zagreb and over one narrowed lane in direction Goričan. In direction Goričan, traffic will proceed over one lane with a reduced speed limit of 80km/h. All Zagreb istok and Sesvete junctions exit slips are operating.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
-due to a pilgrimage on 5 September, traffic will be suspended several times from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. for up to 15 minutes near the Zagreb istok (entry and exit slips of the junction in direction Goričan), Sesvete (entry and exit slips of the junction in direction Goričan) and Popovec junctions (entry and exit slips of the junction in direction Goričan). There will not be any detours.
A6 Rijeka-Zagreb
-from 1 until 30 September from midnight to 4 a.m. traffic will be suspended 3 times for up to 15 minutes between the Rijeka pay toll and Kikovica junction in both directions
ANNOUNCEMENT:
-on 5 September from 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. traffic will be suspended twice for 15 minutes between the Kikovica junction and Rijeka pay toll and between the Rijeka and Oštrovica pay tolls in both directions
A7 Rupa-Rijeka-Šmrika
-until 11 June 2027 traffic is flowing in reduced lanes at the Matulji-Opatija junction, A8 highway/DC8 state road intersection;
A8/A9 motorways in Istria
-due to roadwork on the A8 motorway, there is temporary traffic regulation;
-due to roadwork between the Učka tunnel and Matulji junction, there is temporary traffic regulation with occasional traffic suspensions;
-between the Kanfanar and Medaki junctions at the Limska Draga viaduct there is a traffic ban on delivery of cargo wider than 3 m in both directions;
STATE ROADS
DC1 Macelj-Zagreb-Karlovac-Gračac-Knin-Sinj and Solin-Klis expressway
-due to roadwork near the shopping centre in Zaprešić, traffic is proceeding over one reduced lane with temporary regulation
-until 30 November, due to roadwork between Otrić and Zrmanja, there is a speed limit and temporary traffic regulation
DC8 Adriatic road
-due to roadwork on some sections, traffic proceeding under temporary traffic signalisation
-due to possible rockslides in Kaštel Kambelovac, traffic proceeding under temporary traffic signalisation
DC14 Zabok-Zlatar Bistrica
-until 31 January 2027, closed for all traffic between Poznanovec and Dubovec due to the poor condition of the road and the bridge at the Poznanovac junction;
DC24 Možđenec (DC22) - Rakovec - Varaždinske Toplice (DC526/ŽC22)
-until 31 December, traffic ban for freight vehicles exceeding the maximum weight of 7,5 tonnes between Rakovec and Varaždinske Toplice - detour: A4 Varaždinske toplice junction-Novi Marof junction and vice versa
DC28 Cugovec – Zvijerci – Bjelovar – Veliki Zdenci
-until 7 September, the section between Predavac and Letičani (the northern section of the Bjelovar-city bypass) will be closed for all traffic - detour: other local and state roads
DC29 Novi Golubovec-Laz Bistrički-Soblinec
-until 21 September, closed between Prepuštovec and Gajec
-until 23 October, closed between Kašina and Marija Bistrica

-until 9 September, closed between the villages of Blacko and Vesela (detour for personal vehicles is the following: Blacko-Novoselci-Trapari-Gradac-Pleternica-Vesela, and for freight vehicles: Viškovci-Vidovci-Požega-Jakšić-Ferovac-Grabarje-Pleternica)
-until 15 December, closed in Požega - detour: DC38 (Ulica kralja Zvonimira ) – Industrijska ulica – DC38 (Šokačka cesta - Osječka)

-due to roadwork at the bridge in Gunja, there is a traffic ban for freight vehicles and busses at the Gunja-Brčko border crossing (detour: Županja border crossing)
DC546 Bregana (DC231) - Stojdraga - Novo Selo Žumberačko (Croatia/Slovenia border crossing) - Draganić (DC1)
-closed in the village of Petričko Selo (until further notice)
DC547 Sveti Rok-Jasenice
-traffic is suspended for all vehicles due to road damage
TRAFFIC BAN FOR FREIGHT VEHICLES
Until 15 September on Saturdays (4am - 2pm) and Sundays (noon - 11pm), there will be a summer traffic ban for all freight vehicles with a maximum total weight exceeding 7.5 t on some state roads in Istria and on the coast (except on motorways and the DC1 state road). EXTRAORDINARY TRANSPORT
-until 6 September from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. traffic will be temporarily suspended for up to 15 minutes on the A3 motorway near the Zagreb zapad and Lučko junctions and on the A1 motorway near the Bisko junction
Border crossings - Thu, 03 Sep 2026 20:28:48 GMT
Due to bridge damage traffic is suspended between the Stara Gradiška and Gradiška border crossings (Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina) in both directions.
The border crossing Gornji Varoš (HR) - Gradiška (BiH) is open from May 19th.
At the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro a new system of entering/exiting the country (so called Entry/Exit System - EES) is applied. It means that apart from having travel documents biometric passenger data will be collected (four fingerprints and face photo). The law does not refer to EU citizens.
Notifications about waiting time at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Access to cameras at border crossings is provided on the Croatian Automobile Club website.
Until 31 December 2026 at the Erdut-Bogojevo border crossing there is a traffic ban on freight vehicles exceeding 7,5 tonnes.
The Gunja-Brčko border crossing is closed for all traffic, detour: Županja-Orašje border crossing.
At the Ilok-Bačka Palanka bridge traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 24 tonnes (driving speed limit of 30 km/h).
Starting 3 July 2023 international traffic is possible at the Slivno-Drinovačko Brdo border crossing.
Transit freight traffic is suspended at the Tovarnik/Šid border crossing, detour: Bajakovo border crossing.
Traffic is suspended for vehicles whose maximum weight exceeds 7,5 tonnes at the Pribanjci-Vinica border crossing on the DC204 state road.
The Dvor and Vitaljina border crossings are open for pedestrians and passenger traffic only.
The border crossings for the international maritime traffic are: Umag, Pula, Mali Lošinj, Vis, Ubli and Cavtat (Book of Regulations on border crossings of the Republic of Croatia, pubblished at the Narodne novine, 2 January 2023).

Traffic restrictions for transit freight vehicles through Croatia:
-For freight vehicle exceeding 7,5 tonnes there is a traffic ban on the DC414 state road from DC8-DC414 intersection to Prapratno junction as well as from Prapratno junction to Komarna junction (Pelješac bridge and its access roads).
-According to the Book of regulations for public road transit traffic, freight vehicles heavier than 7,5 tonnes without a trailer/with a trailer longer than 14 m are allowed to use the following roads:

Due to strong wind, there may be traffic bans for certain vehicle categories on the DC8 Adriatic road.
Before travelling, inform yourself about the current road conditions on the Croatian Automobile Club website or app.
Increased traffic is expected on city and bypass roads, on the A2 Zagreb-Macelj motorway at the Zagreb zapad junction, on the A4 Goričan-Zagreb motorway between the Popovec and Zagreb istok junctions in direction Zagreb, on the Zagreb (A3) and Rijeka (A7) bypass roads, on the Istrian motorways between the Učka junction and tunnel, on the Krk bridge, on multiple sections of the DC8 Adriatic road and in a roadwork area on the DC1 state road near Otrić.
There may be occasional queues and delays in roadwork areas, areas under temporary traffic regulation and on certain motorway sections, especially near tunnels, rest stops and toll stations.
Longer wait times for passenger and freight traffic are possible at most border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro.
No difficulties are expected in ferry traffic.
