Traffic is proceeding without special restrictions on most roads, except in roadwork areas. Traffic is increased in cities and on their bypass roads. Traffic jams and queues are possible in roadwork areas. Drivers are advised to adjust their speed and way of driving to the road conditions. TRAFFIC INCIDENTS AND IRREGULAR EVENTS: -- A1 Zagreb-Ploče-Karamatići motorway: -- A2 Zagreb-Macelj motorway: -due to roadwork on the Sava bridge (between the 55+700 km and 54+900 km) in direction Krapina, traffic is proceeding in one lane; A3 Bregana-Lipovac motorway: -until 26 June roadwork is in progress at the Kraljeva Velika-jug and Kraljeva Velika-sjever rest areas; -until 26 June on the section Zagreb zapad-Sveta Nedelja traffic is flowing in reduced lanes in direction Bregana; -until 30 June at the Zagreb zapad junction from direction Lipovac (A3) towards Zagreb, from direction Bregana (A3) and Macelj (A2) towards Zagreb (Sava bridge-Jankomir) traffic is flowing in one lane only; -until 23 July due to drainage repairs between the Popovača and Kutina junctions, direction Lipovac, traffic will proceed on two narrowed lanes; due to dense traffic, daily traffic jams and queues are possible, especially on Fridays; -until 31 Aug due to roadwork, the Kraljeva Velika sjever and Kraljeva Velika jug rest stops are closed in both directions. A4 Zagreb-Goričan motorway:-until 1 Aug due to roadwork between the Zagreb istok and Sesvete junction traffic will proceed in reduced lanes in both directions and queues are expected; -until 29 June between the Novi Marof and Breznički Hum junctions 56th-54th km one lane is free only in each direction; -until 26 June from 12am to 5am between the Breznički Hum and Novi Marof junctions, traffic is occasionally suspended for 15 minutes. A6 Rijeka-Zagreb motorway: - until 30 June between the Bosiljevo 2 and Vrbovsko junctions at the Zečeve Drage viaduct one lane is free only in each direction; -between the 25 June and 10 July (during one night only) , traffic will be suspended on the section between the Rijeka and Kikovica junctions in both directions; -on the 26/27 June between 1 am and 4 am on the section between the Rijeka and Kikovica junctions traffic will be suspended in both directions for 15 minutes; A7 Rupa-Rijeka motorway: -until 11 June 2027 traffic is flowing in reduced lanes at the Matulji-Opatija junction, A8 highway/DC8 state road intersection; A8/A9 highway in Istria-due to roadwork on the A8 motorway, there is temporary traffic regulation; -due to roadwork between between the Učka tunnel and Matulji junction, there is temporary traffic regulation with occasional traffic suspensions; -between the Kanfanar and Medaki junctions at the Limska Draga viaduct there is a traffic ban on abnormal load larger than 3,3 m in both directions; STATE ROADS DC1 Macelj-Zagreb-Karlovac-Gračac-Knin-Sinj state road: -due to roadwork on certain sections, there is temporary traffic signalisation; -until 27 June traffic is closed at the Krapina viaduct; -until 1 July due to roadwork in Sinj, traffic through Sinj is proceeding in one lane in direction Split and on detours in direction Drniš: DC1-Ulica Pavla Vučkovića-Bazana/Ulica Miljenka Buljana; -until 30 Nov due to roadwork between Otrić and Zrmanja, there is a speed limit and temporary traffic regulation. DC2 Osijek-Vukovar: -untill 17 December traffic is suspended due to roadwork between the DC2-ŽC4111 intersection and entrance in the Vukovar city, traffic will proceed on the bypass road ( DC2 (čv. "Nemetin") - DC213 (Sarvaš - Bijelo Brdo) - DC519 (Dalj - Borovo) - DC2 (Vukovar)); DC8 Adriatic road: -due to roadwork on some sections, there is temporary traffic signalisation; -between Split and Omiš in Jesenice, traffic is proceeding with temporary traffic regulation. DC14 Zabok-Zlatar Bistrica: -due to the poor condition of the road and the bridge on the state road DC14, Poznanovac junctions, there is a traffic ban between the Poznanovec and Dubovec; DC28 Cugovec – Zvijerci – Bjelovar – Veliki Zdenci state road: -until 31 July due to roadwork between Bjelovar and Letičani, there is a traffic ban on all vehicles, detours on local and state roads. DC100 Cres island: -until 1 July the Privlaka bridge is closed for traffic; DC512 Makarska-Ravča state road: - due to rock sliding traffic is suspended at the Stupica tunnel towards Vrgorac; DC547 Sveti Rok-Jasenice state road: -traffic is closed due to road damage. TRAFFIC BAN FOR FREIGHT VEHICLES Until 15 September on Saturday (4am - 2pm) and Sunday (noon - 11pm), there will be a summer traffic ban for all freight vehicles with a maximum total weight exceeding 7.5t on some state roads in Istria and on the coast (except on motorways and the DC1 state road). (https://www.hak.hr/info/korisne-informacije/zabrane-za-teretna-vozila/) EXTRAORDINARY TRANSPORT From 21 June until 15 July between 12:01am and 5am, traffic will be suspended twice for 15 minutes in the following sections: -on the A3 Bregana-Lipovac motorway at the Bregana paytoll in both directions; -on the A4 Zagreb-Goričan motorway at the Sveta Helena and Goričan paytolls in both directions.

Due to bridge damage traffic is suspended between the Stara Gradiška and Gradiška border crossings (Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina) in both directions. The border crossing Gornji Varoš (HR) - Gradiška (BiH) is open from May 19th. At the border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro a new system of entering/exiting the country (so called Entry/Exit System - EES) is applied. It means that apart from having travel documents biometric passenger data will be collected (four fingerprints and face photo). The law does not refer to EU citizens. Notifications about waiting time at border crossings are subject to frequent changes. Access to cameras at border crossings is provided on the Croatian Automobile Club website. Until 31 December 2026 at the Erdut-Bogojevo border crossing there is a traffic ban on freight vehicles exceeding 7,5 tonnes. The Gunja-Brčko border crossing is closed for all traffic, detour: Županja-Orašje border crossing. At the Ilok-Bačka Palanka bridge traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 24 tonnes (driving speed limit of 30 km/h). Starting 3 July 2023 international traffic is possible at the Slivno-Drinovačko Brdo border crossing. Transit freight traffic is suspended at the Tovarnik/Šid border crossing, detour: Bajakovo border crossing. Traffic is suspended for vehicles whose maximum weight exceeds 7,5 tonnes at the Pribanjci-Vinica border crossing on the DC204 state road. The Dvor and Vitaljina border crossings are open for pedestrians and passenger traffic only. The border crossings for the international maritime traffic are: Umag, Pula, Mali Lošinj, Vis, Ubli and Cavtat (Book of Regulations on border crossings of the Republic of Croatia, pubblished at the Narodne novine, 2 January 2023).

Ferries and catamarans operate according to timetable. Timetable changes: -until 28 June, on the ferry line 636 Split-Rogač, there will be an additional journey on Sundays and holidays: departure Rogač at 5.30pm, Split at 6.45pm. -from 15 June, the ship line 661 Split-Hvar-Korčula is in operation, departure from Split at 12:15pm. Traffic forecast for 26 June 2026 Tomorrow, weather conditions will be favourable in most of the country. Due to heavy rain in the afternoon, roads in Dalmatia may be wet and slippery. Increased traffic is expected on city and bypass roads and on some motorway sections. Traffic jams and queues are possible in road work areas, especially in the morning and afternoon.  Due to high temperatures during the day, drivers are advised to follow advice from relevant authorities and plan their trips ahead of time.  At some border crossings with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, traffic will be dense for personal vehicles in both directions. Longer waiting times for freight vehicles are expected at the following inbound border crossings: Svilaj, Jasenovac, Gornji Varoš, Županja, Tovarnik and Bajakovo.  In ferry traffic, there won’t be any difficulties.  The Croatian Automobile Club wishes you a safe and pleasant journey!
